Tiger Shroff on failure of A Flying Jatt and Munna Michael: I felt dejected

Tiger Shroff started his career in the arc lights on a high note, with his very first film, Heropanti, hitting the bulls-eye.

This was followed by the smash-hit Baaghi, which set the ticket windows on fire.

However, Tiger’s streak of luck was broken by the back-to-back failures of Remo D’Souza’s A Flying Jatt and Sabbir Khan’s Munna Michael. In an interview with a leading publication, the actor revealed that he was “really upset” when his films tanked at the box office.

The work I had put into my films and craft required a lot of physical and mental labour. It took a toll on the body, so, it was disheartening when the films didn’t work. I felt dejected and thought about it every night before I slept,” he revealed.

Tiger decided to learn from the failures and push himself to deliver his best. “I turned them into my strengths and if I ever failed to give a certain shot, I’d always think about those times. That sort of drove me beyond my limits,” he said, adding that he was “grateful” to experience both success and failure in the beginning of his career
