Meghan Markle, aka the Duchess of Sussex, was spotted out wearing a piece of Middle Eastern jewellery this week. The 36-year-old, who is currently in her second trimester of pregnancy was attending a Royal engagement, visiting a retirement home in London
At the event, she was seen wearing a Hamsa Hand ring, an ancient symbol of protection across the Arab World. The symbol has been used for thousands of years across the Middle East and north Africa, and is believed by some to “ward off” evil spirits as well as being a symbol of power and strength
The duchess wore the gold design on her middle finger on her right hand. The jewellery, also known as a Hand of Fatima ring, featured a blue sapphire and was created by Turkish jewellery designer Kismet by Milka
